Quake Quacks

Long ago… people didn’t know the reason for earth quakes…. Not even the then scientists.. So, they did the same thing like they have been doing the then long ago…. THEY MADE UP SENSELESS STORIES….

• Japan: The people in Japan who didn’t know the actual reason believed that earth quakes were caused by a giant cat fish called the NOMAZU. This wiggly creature was believed to live under the earth.

• Greece: In the year … about 350 BC… the great PREDICTION MAN ….. made yet another prediction.. and this time, his prediction was about an earth quake ….. So what false prediction did he make?... here it goes …

“QUAKES WERE CAUSED BY THE WIND BLOWING THROUGH UNDERGROUND CAVES”

• Roman: The roman poet OVID said quakes occurred as earth got too close to sun, causing the planet to tremble due to the big star’s RADIANCE.
  

• Many year later: …… years later in the year 1800.. a british scientist proposed another “THEORY”. Though he made it a little later… he made a latest story.

“WAVES CAUSED BY UNDERGROUND WATER WHICH DRIPPED ON EARTH’S HOT CORE, CREATING STEAM TO SHAKE THE EARTH LIKE A LID ON A BOLING POINT”
